Louisville beats out Lexington on this new (gross) national ranking of bed bug cities

Louisville has been named among the worst cities in the country for bed bugs.

On Monday, pest control company Orkin released its Top 50 Bed Bug Cities List for 2024 and Louisville landed at No. 49. At the top of the pile? Chicago and New York City.

Kentucky had a total of two cities on the list this year, with Louisville beating Lexington (No. 50) for all the wrong reasons.

The list is based on data from metro areas where Orkin performed bed bug treatments between Dec. 1, 2022 through Nov. 30, 2023. It includes both residential and commercial eradication.
