The Kentucky Wildcats went on the road to Fayetteville, Arkansas, and took down the Hogs 63-57.
Kentucky had another rough offensive showing, only shooting 36.5% from the field, but they found a way to win in a hectic environment. Many Kentucky fans are happy about this outcome, which might be a surprise as they didn’t have a great offensive showing, but the defense was outstanding. If it wasn’t for the defense, this game could have gotten ugly, but a solid defensive performance kept Kentucky in this game until the shots started to fall. With how bad the defense has been this season, seeing this against Arkansas gave hope for the rest of the season. If Kentucky defends like they did in this game, they could win the National Championship.
One star of the game for the Kentucky Wildcats was Ugonna Onyenso. He played 25 minutes in the win, scoring six points, grabbing four rebounds, and blocking three shots. Onyenso seems to be fully healthy from the foot injury, as he is exploding when he jumps. If the seven-footer can continue to develop his offensive game while rebounding the basketball and blocking shots, he can be a star. But could he be a starter?
