Franchisee Ellen Kendrick confirmed that the dessert restaurant closed in December 2023.
She attributed the closure to “a combination of the rent being too high and business being too slow,” Kendrick said in a text. “We couldn’t make it.”
Buzzed Bull Creamery was the second dessert concept to close in the location at 111 Summit at Fritz Farm; it followed Steel City Pops, which was one of The Summit’s original tenants when it opened in the spring of 2016. Steel City Pops closed in 2021 after the Alabama-based chain closed most of its stores. The location was in a high-profile spot opposite Shake Shack on the artificial turf “lawn” at the heart of the upscale shopping center.
