FRANKFORT, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Healthcare workers past, present, and future gathered in Frankfort to celebrate the work being done while also making their voices heard by lawmakers.
A room full of people passionate about healthcare talks about what needs to be done to help these workers do what they do. That’s the theme of Nurses Day at the Capitol. Kristen Butler is the communications specialist for the Kentucky Nurses Association.
“We’re excited to be here advocating for not only nurses but also their patients and nursing students. Advocating for all the things that matter to nurses who are actively working and their patients, because patient care is a top priority,” Butler said.
