Takeaways: For the first time in Rupp Arena history Kentucky has lost three games in a row

The Kentucky Wildcats took a break from SEC play to host the Gonzaga Bulldogs and lost 89-85.

Kentucky is now working its way into a spot where this team could lose a few more games and drop a ton of seed lines.

If the Wildcats can’t turn this around, this team will not make it out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

What can we take away from Kentucky’s 89-85 loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs?

The big men got bullied

Kentucky’s big men got bullied down low by the front court of Gonzaga. Down the stretch, they went down low almost every single play 1v1 with Kentucky’s seven-footers, and they couldn’t be stopped. All three of the seven-footers need to be more physical, or this will happen all year long. Kentucky still has to play some dominant big men in this league, like Tolu Smith of Mississippi State and Johni Broome of Auburn. These types of bigs will dominate Kentucky if the big men don’t get more physical.
