LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A multi-departmental investigation led to a Kentucky man’s arrest and around 50 pounds of meth being recovered.
Court records show Roger Mullins, 73, was arrested on Friday as part of a joint investigation by the Department of Homeland Security, Kentucky State Police, the Casey County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lexington DEA.

While executing a federal search warrant, officers said they found about 50 pounds of meth, 3 kilos of cocaine, 4 pounds of heroin, a gun, and more than $100,000 in cash on Mullins’ property.
According to an arrest citation by Kentucky State Police, Mullins told authorities the $100,000 had been dug up from the backyard because he was planning on going to Mexico soon.
Mullins was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center and charged with first-degree first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 2 grams of methamphetamine), first-degree first-offense possession of a controlled substance (heroin), first-degree first-offense trafficking in a controlled substance (greater than or equal to 4 grams of cocaine), first-offense trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 ounces), and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
