LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Bluegrass Station is Kentucky’s only state-owned industrial park. The 780-acre site was established by the US Army about 80 years ago. It was acquired by the Commonwealth in 1995. It provides supplies, uniforms, and equipment to more than 700,000 service members in 84 countries and 54 states and territories. It’s located in both Bourbon and Fayette Counties, and now, some neighboring landowners fear they might lose their property to a proposed 2,000-acre and more than $320 million dollar expansion project.
