LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lexington mother has been sentenced for the death of her children. Nikki James was sentenced Friday to 20 years in prison with no probation. James pleaded guilty earlier in June to second-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of her two children in 2022. That was amended from murder as part of a plea agreement.
