HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) swore in Beaver Dam mayor Paul Sandefur as the 2024-25 KLC first vice president during a ceremony Thursday night at the 2024 KLC Conference and Expo in Lexington.
Officials say Mayor Sandefur will serve alongside newly elected KLC President Benton Mayor Rita Dotson and Second Vice President Pineville Mayor Scott Madon for the following year.

According to KLC, Mayor Sandefur joined the KLC Board of Directors in 2015 and was appointed to the Executive Board in 2020. He has been an advocate for Kentucky cities, bringing his extensive experience and “passion” for local government to the organization. In his new role, he will work closely with the KLC leadership team to continue advancing the needs of cities across the commonwealth.
