LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A Georgetown man was arrested Monday after allegedly attempting to kidnap a 10-year-old in Scott County.
Moises Quebrado Vergara, 50, allegedly followed the child from the intersection where the bus dropped them off toward their home. Afterward, he tried to lure the girl to his white van, according to the arrest citation.

The citation said part of the interaction between Vergara and the child was caught on a Ring Doorbell camera. The officer reported Vergara could be seen trying to get the child’s attention using verbal and nonverbal communication
Vergara was allegedly identified in the video by family and by himself after he admitted it was him in the video but said it “was all a misunderstanding.”
Vergara was charged with attempted kidnapping and lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
