KYTC explores new ways to improve pedestrian safety

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Kentucky is seeing an increase in pedestrian deaths, according to state data. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports that 120 pedestrians were killed in crashes last year. That’s an increase from 96 in 2022. So far this year, they report there have been 79. Now, the cabinet is exploring new ways to improve pedestrian safety.
