Members of the Lexington Fire Department return from disaster relief deployment after Helene, Milton

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Members of the Lexington Dire Department have returned home safe after being deployed for multiple weeks down south to help with disaster relief efforts after Helene and Milton.

The Lexington Fire Department (LFD) posted on Facebook Sunday that District Chief Chris Warren, Captain Nick Bodkin, Firefighter Jordan Brown, and Firefighter Kelley Harris of the Lexington Fire Department recently returned from deployments as part of separate teams to help with disaster relief efforts in the wake of hurricanes Helene and Milton.

“District Chief Warren deployed to Haywood County, North Carolina, as part of an Incident Management Team, and for nearly two weeks, he was critical in managing successful search, rescue, and recovery operations,” The LFD wrote on Facebook.
