LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Police are looking for information in connection with the investigation into a suspicious device described as a pipe bomb that was reportedly found in September in a Lexington park.
Around 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 22, a person allegedly found “ a pipe bomb in the Woodland Park area and brought it to Fire Station #5″ on Woodland Avenue, according to the Lexington Fire Department (LFD).

When the device was brought to the station, fire department officials said crews evacuated the station and called the police.
Hazard Disposal Unit crews reportedly told officers that the device had “the components to act as an explosive device,” the Lexington Police Department (LPD) said in a news release on Wednesday.
