Man arrested after situation near Shillito Park in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Jason Fields, 47, was arrested and has been charged with:

  • FIrst-degree wanton endangerment
  • Second-degree assault (domestic violence)
  • Fourth-degree assault with minor injury (domestic violence)
  • First-degree strangulation related to domestic violence
  • First-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer (five counts)

Fields is due to appear in court at 1 p.m. to be arraigned.

Around 3 p.m., the Lexington Police Department (LPD) told FOX 56 that officers arrived at the 400 block of Potomac Drive in the Monticello neighborhood in response to an armed person.

Police said around 9:15 p.m., a suspect was taken into custody.
