The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association has announced its 2024 All-State teams, Ms. Kentucky Volleyball, defensive player of the year and coach of the year.
Great Crossing’s Katherine Rush, a 6-foot-2 senior setter committed to Western Kentucky, has been named Ms. Kentucky Volleyball. Rush ended the season with 328 kills, 78 blocks, 806 assists, 206 digs, and 69 aces to help the Warhawks earn their sixth consecutive 41st District championship. Great Crossing reached the semifinals of this year’s 11th Region Tournament.
Joining Rush on the KVCA All-State First Team were two players from Lexington: Paul Laurence Dunbar’s Isabela Haggard, a 5-10 setter committed to Marquette, and Lexington Catholic’s Addie Lowe, a 5-10 outside hitter committed to Loyola Maryland.
Notre Dame’s Julia Grace was named defensive player of the year. Central Hardin’s William Rineker was named coach of the year.
Bryan Station’s Cameron Owens, a 6-0 junior, was among the honorable mentions.
