RICHMOND, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — We all have a story to tell from our college days.
“My story, my experience, I don’t really know, it’s a crazy one though for sure,” Eastern Kentucky redshirt junior Vito Tisdale said.
Tisdale’s college story is told through football, and through challenges.
“It’s life, I guess, you know what I’m saying, you can’t control it and there’s always a higher power controlling your life and what God has in plan for you,” Tisdale said.
Tisdale was a star recruit out of Bowling Green and committed to Kentucky, played two seasons in Lexington and was a starting defensive back but then tore his ACL during spring practice in 2022 and missed that whole season.
After some disciplinary issues, he transferred to Colorado but battled through injuries there too.
Not knowing where to turn next, he turned back home to the Commonwealth and went 30 minutes south of Lexington down to Richmond, transferring to Eastern Kentucky.
“Man they accepted me like I’d been here and I look at them like my brothers and I’m thankful for them and these are moments that will last a lifetime for me,” Tisdale said.
