FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12 is investigating a murder that occurred Saturday in Frankfort. KSP says they responded to the area of Flat Creek Road in Franklin County just before 10 p.m. in reference to an altercation between Justin Girtley and Steven Girtley. When they arrived, police found Justin Girtley with a gunshot wound. Police say Steven had fled the residence into a wooded area by the time troopers arrived.
