Kentucky deputy’s accused killer given maximum sentence for NKY crime

KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX) – A Kentucky man accused of killing a sheriff’s deputy in Scott County was sentenced Tuesday for a separate crime he committed in Fort Mitchell. A Kenton County Circuit Court Judge gave Steven Sheangshang a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to burglary and being a persistent felony offender, according to the Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
