Kentucky homelessness increases as affordable housing remains out of reach for many

BOSTON (WKYT/AP) – While the nation saw a record 18.1% increase in homelessness this year, the number in Kentucky increased 9.8% compared to 2023. The nation’s dramatic rise was driven mostly by a lack of affordable housing as well as devastating natural disasters and a surge of migrants in several parts of the country, federal officials said Friday.
