Lexington man was one of two killed in collision in Wolfe County

A Lexington man was one of two people who died in a collision that severely injured a third person near Campton on Friday.

David Lemus Castro, 37, of Lexington, and Carl Osborn, 39, of Thornton, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Ky. 15 South near near Hunting Fork Road in Wolfe County, Kentucky State Police said in a news release.

A passenger in the van driven by Castro was hospitalized with chemical burns, state police said. State police said the passenger, who was still in the hospital Saturday, was taken by ambulance to Kentucky River Medical Center then transferred by helicopter to UC Medical Center.

State police said Osborn was driving north on Ky. 15 in a Ford Fusion when he crossed the center line and collided with the Chevrolet Express that Castro was driving. State police said they were called about the crash at 10:59 a.m.
