As snow and ice cover the region, some people are getting creative to adapt to their circumstances and get back to a sense of normalcy as quickly as possible.

“It slows down a lot of my work because I mainly work in concrete construction. You know, below 32 degrees, I’m not pouring any concrete,” James Turley said.
James Turley, owner of Turley and Turley Construction, is no stranger to working in the elements and can normally adjust to his circumstances. But with weather like this, he has another problem on his hands.
“My bucket’s frozen and I can’t get the arms down on my bucket, so when that happens, now it’s hard for me to change out the buckets from a tooth bucket to a smooth bucket to plow lots. That’s what I’m dealing with right now, so you can only imagine how frustrated I am right now.”
