LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A 17-year-old who was accused of killing 16-year-old Ali Naqvi was additionally charged on Friday in connection with the disappearance of 15-year-old Aoun Basboos, who was reported missing alongside Naqvi on May 11.
On Friday, June 6, the Lexington Police Department (LPD) announced in a news release that the 17-year-old was charged with a second count of murder and lodged at a juvenile detention center, where they have been since May 14.

“At this time, Aoun Basboos has not been located and is presumed to be deceased,” a spokesperson with the LPD said in a news release. “In consultation with the FBI, Fayette County Coroner’s Office, and the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, adequate probable cause was determined to charge for the murder of Aoun Basboos.”

Law enforcement officials said the search for Basboos remains ongoing, and Bluegrass Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information that could help officers find him.
