1 critically hurt after fiery motorcycle crash in downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — One individual is critically injured following a motorcycle crash late Sunday night.

Lexington police said that, just after 11 p.m., authorities were called to South Broadway and Virginia Avenue, where a car and a motorcycle collided. Both vehicles caught fire, and the Lexington Fire Department was called to extinguish the flames.

The driver of the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the police. The passenger on the motorcycle suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the car was not hurt.
