Brittany Walker, the assistant principal of Lexington’s Ashland Elementary School, will take over as principal of the school July 1, according to a new release from the district.
Walker has been an assistant principal at Ashland since 2024 and has more than 13 years of experience in Fayette County Public Schools.
“Ms. Walker is a passionate, student-centered leader,” said Superintendent Demetrus Liggins. “With a career rooted in service across multiple schools, she is aptly equipped to lead Ashland with vision and heart.”…
