UK assistant coach suspended amid misconduct investigation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — University officials confirmed that an assistant coach with the University of Kentucky has been suspended pending investigation.

UK spokesperson Jay Blanton told FOX 56 that Hakon DeVries, an assistant track and cross-country coach, has been suspended with pay.

“The university takes very seriously reports of inappropriate behavior. Our Office of Equal Opportunity investigates thoroughly and recommends disciplinary measures depending on the findings and specifics of each case,” Blanton confirmed.
