Lexington man allegedly tried to strangle woman to keep her from leaving residence: ‘She felt scared’

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Lexington man was arrested on Friday for allegedly punching a woman in the eye and putting his hands around her neck to keep her from leaving a residence.

Court documents from the Lexington Police Department show that just after 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Hartland Woods Way after neighbors in the area called 911 to report a domestic violence dispute.

When police arrived at the scene, officers said they found a woman with “a fresh mark on her left eye.”

The woman told authorities that Thomas Jacob Ralston, 39, allegedly punched her in the eye and held her down on a bed with his hands around her neck, per an arrest citation…
