LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Sophia Rosing, the former University of Kentucky student who was sentenced in October 2024 for assaulting a Black woman on campus, was released early from her year-long sentence.
On Wednesday, officials with the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet told FOX 56 News that Rosing received pre-sentence credit and good time by the jail, leading to her release on May 11, over five months ahead of the end of her original sentence.
