LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Texas fugitive captured in Fayette County has been extradited after over a month on the run, according to a Texas sheriff’s office.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in San Antonio said William Best was out on bond after being charged in connection with a 2023 “violent home invasion.”

“Multiple victims were tied up and held at gunpoint for over an hour during a violent home invasion in East Bexar County. Armed suspects entered the residence, assaulted a 19-year-old male, and forced him to open several safes containing firearms,” the sheriff’s office described. “All three victims were threatened and bound using zip ties and phone charging cables.”
Best allegedly removed his GPS ankle monitor on May 8 and told his attorney that he wouldn’t be attending court.
