LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Judge Larry Medlock accepted Misty Noel’s plea deal Thursday morning.
She pleaded guilty to five counts of theft and five counts of tax evasion in May, which included thousands of dollars taken from the Utica Township Volunteer Firefighters Association (UTVFA) for personal use.
Misty spent over $660,000 in stolen firefighters’ funds on personal items like makeup, clothing, vacations, travel, and college tuition at Indiana University Southeast for two of her daughters. She also did not declare the money as income on her and husband’s jointly-filed taxes…
