LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Kentuckians are getting ready to light up the sky as they celebrate the Fourth of July. Depending on where you live, you may need to be mindful of local restrictions if you wish to shoot off fireworks.

Kentucky considers all consumer fireworks to be acceptable for public use. However, laws vary by city or county when and where consumer fireworks are allowed in the form of local ordinances.
