On the evening of July 31, 2024, Franklin County resident Christen Johnson watched in shock as Kentucky State Trooper Myron Jackson handcuffed and dragged her across her gravel driveway—while her three young children watched from inside—simply for filming a traffic stop involving her mother, the lawsuit says.
According to a federal complaint filed June 25, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for Eastern Kentucky, Johnson, a dental assistant and full‑time mom, stepped onto her porch to record the interaction between Trooper Jackson and her mother, Christina Calvert. “Trooper Jackson ordered her to ‘Go inside of the house or I will take you from your kids and take you to jail,’” the filing states verbatim. When she asserted her right to film from a safe distance, Jackson allegedly seized her wrists, yanked her arm, forced her onto her knees, and dragged her into his cruiser—leaving scrapes and bruises, the suit says.…
