3 people, 2 dogs evacuated from Lexington home after detached garage fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Three Lexington residents were evacuated on Saturday evening after a fire broke out in their detached garage.

It happened around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

Department officials told FOX 56 that the garage fire had extended to the side of the home before it was extinguished, leaving moderate damage to the structure.
