LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Rounds of showers and storms were common over the weekend and that action shows zero signs of going away. Storms on the move this week look to continue into the upcoming weekend, with more in the way of hit and run flash flooding issues.
Temps today are generally in the muggy 80s with a mix of sun and clouds. Scattered showers and storms will be around with a greater concentration of storms showing up this evening through Tuesday.
A few of these storms may be strong and briefly severe, but all of the showers and storms will be capable of putting down a lot of water in a short amount of time.
The setup then features another front dropping toward the region from the northwest later this week. That boundary then stalls on top of us through the upcoming weekend, leading to additional waves of showers and torrential rain producing thunderstorms…
