LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A recent indictment has upgraded the charges against a Lexington pair who were previously accused of criminal abuse that allegedly resulted in the death of a 20-month-old child.
On July 6, 2024, officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of Centre Parkway “for an unresponsive infant.” There, they found the body of 20-month-old Joshua Bowen.

Court documents alleged that Bowen was found with facial bruises in various stages of healing, appeared to be malnourished and underweight, and suffered a “serious blunt force injury to his eye which could have led to his cause of death.”
Just over a year later, on July 7, a grand jury alleged that Kyle Shannon-Lee Guindon, 23, and Brianna Leigh Johnson, 28, abused and killed Bowen.
