NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Wednesday, investigators announced that they had identified skeletal remains found over four months ago along Sulphur Well Road.
On March 13, Kentucky State Police troopers discovered skeletal remains in a wooded area along Sulpher Well Road while following up on leads in an active missing persons investigation.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office has reportedly identified the remains as those of 27-year-old Timothy F. Sterner Jr. from Lancaster.
According to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs), Sterner was last seen on April 9, 2024, when he left his Garrard County home.

Troopers told FOX 56 that his vehicle was found wrecked near Sulphur Well and River Roads that night.
