Human remains found in Jessamine County identified as missing man

The State Medical Examiner’s Office has identified human remains found in Jessamine County about four months ago as a man who had been missing for almost a year, according to Kentucky State Police.

The remains were discovered in a wooded area along Sulphur Well Road in Jessamine County in March. The remains were sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy, state police previously said.

On Wednesday, the medical examiner’s office identified the remains as 27-year-old Timothy Sterner Jr., of Lancaster. Sterner was reported missing April 11, 2024, after he was last seen two days earlier in Garrard County…
