Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol tour to visit Lexington

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol 2025 national tour is making an appearance in more than 20 cities, including some in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio.

The musical features the songs of GRAMMY winner Dolly Parton and a book by David H. Bell, adapted for the stage by Bell, Paul T. Couch, and Curt Wollan. The show transports the classic tale to the 1930s in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee and reimagines Ebenezer Scrooge as the owner of a mining town.

The tour is set to run from Nov. 15 to Dec. 28 at the following locations.

“I’m thrilled to see my Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol hitting the road and spreading holiday cheer from city to city. I poured my heart into the music, and I truly hope folks everywhere feel the love, the laughter, and the magic of my beautiful Smoky Mountains that we’ve packed into every scene,” Parton said. “There’s nothing like music and the holidays to bring friends and family together.”
