Misty Noel withdraws all court motions in theft and tax evasion case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Misty Noel, the estranged wife of convicted former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, asked to withdraw all of the motions she’s filed with the court since her sentencing.

The three motions Misty filed on July 16 were her asking for a new judge, asking to dismiss the potential contempt of court charge against her for what she said in court, and asking to cancel the Aug. 12 hearing to possibly set aside her plea deal and send the case to trial.

Misty and her attorney Bart McMahon were firing back on Judge Larry Medlock’s July 7 order. Misty argued in mid-July that the judge was biased against the Noel family, and that legal precedent prevents a judge from revoking a plea deal once it’s been entered into the record…
