LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A policy group is calling out the University of Kentucky for not being fully in line with Kentucky’s new anti–diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) law.
“This matters because institutional neutrality matters. Viewpoint neutrality matters,” Stacy Skankey told FOX 56 News.

House Bill 4 was the General Assembly’s big bill rolling back DEI programs at public colleges this year. The law went into effect over the summer, and one provision requires higher education governing boards to adopt and publish a policy on viewpoint neutrality. It’s something Skankey, the American Freedom Network litigation director at the Goldwater Institute, said the University of Kentucky still needs to do.“So if they can do that before any action is brought, fantastic,” she said.
The law says the policy should’ve been adopted by June 30th. Skankey signed on to a letter to the Kentucky Attorney General’s office, bringing the issue to the office’s attention and asking the AG to compel the university to bring its policy in line…
