Lexington volunteers to conduct annual homeless street count survey

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Volunteers will be out Wednesday in Lexington conducting the annual street count survey of the city’s homeless population.

The Catholic Action Center says volunteers will gather at the New Life Day Center on North Martin Luther King Boulevard throughout the day for assignments and supplies.

Organizers say the survey is a collaborative effort, with numbers also being collected from hospitals, recovery centers, Fayette County Public Schools, and transitional housing programs…
