Outer loop of New Circle Road temporarily closing lanes, Lexington transport authorities say

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced on Thursday that lanes in the outer loop of New Circle Road will be gradually closing throughout the evening.

Officials announced on social media on Aug. 28 that at 7 p.m., the right lane of New Circle Road’s outer loop would be closed from the Georgetown Road exit to the Leestown Road exit.

“At 10P, the remaining lanes of the New Circle Road outer loop will close between Georgetown and Leestown Roads,” KYTC staff wrote.

Officials said all lanes in the area should be reopened around 5 a.m. on Friday…
