LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – The old-school ‘ding-dong-ditch’ prank has gotten an upgrade after a social media trend encouraging participants to knock, kick, or bang on doors has gone viral.
Lexington Police says pranks like this have been around for years, but Sgt. Bige Towery says this time, doing it could cost you.

“In many of these situations, they’re breaking the storm door. So, that easily could become a felony, criminal mischief charge, and it could even become burglary if they actually penetrate the house,” shared Sgt. Bige Towery, Public Information Officer.
Sgt. Towery says this trend has been seen all across the country, with some very dangerous outcomes happening as a result of it right here in Kentucky.”…
