Increase in illnesses common to start school year in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Flu, COVID-19, intestinal viruses, strep throat; add other illnesses to the list. The Fayette County Health Department said, around this time in the school year, the illness increase is a common trend.

“Typical start of the school year,” Yolanda Loveless, school health manager, said.
