Pedestrian killed in early morning Lexington crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Lexington man was reportedly killed in a crash early Saturday morning.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office wrote in a news release that the crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 13, on the outer loop of New Circle Road near the Winchester Road exit.

Officials with the coroner’s office said a man had tried to walk across the outer loop when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The victim was identified as Micah Glenn Smith, 49. His funeral arrangements are still being planned, according to authorities…
