Fayette County superintendent responds to budget challenges

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Months of tough conversations about money and trust are coming to a head. The Fayette County Board of Education is now presenting a new multi-million dollar working budget for the 2025-26 school year after challenges.

Finances and accountability were on the agenda at a public meeting in Frankfort as FCPS Superintendent Demetrus Liggins spoke with state education committee leaders.
