LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — An unusual discovery at a Lexington pizza shop — an exotic diamond dove found outside Sir Pizza on New Circle Road.
Lexington-Fayette Animal Care & Control said the bird was in poor condition when officers picked it up on Tuesday.
It’s now being cared for by a bird expert who’s hopeful it will make a full recovery.Diamond doves are not native to Kentucky. They’re typically kept as pets, which is why officials believe this one may have escaped from a home.
