Popular Lexington restaurant reopens after closing for ‘sewage backflow’

A popular chain steak restaurant in Lexington that was briefly closed for a “sewage overflow” issue has reopened, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department,

Texas Roadhouse, at 3030 Lakecrest Centre Circle, in the Beaumont neighborhood, was shut down by the health department Sept. 21 after an inspection revealed the “facility operating with sewage backflow from floor drains in bar and kitchen.”

According to a notice of enforcement, Texas Roadhouse had to comply with an order to cease operations and correct the violation. Luke Mathis, with the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, said the restaurant reopened one day later after passing inspection.
