What was supposed to be a quiet night after a wedding at Castle & Key Distillery, located in Versailles, KY, escalated into a full-blown manhunt when four heavily intoxicated men from Cincinnati broke in, led police on a chase across the grounds, and left chaos in their wake. From smashed vehicles to golf cart fails, the scene is already being called one of the wildest break-ins in recent local memory.
Scattered Like Cockroaches
Versailles police and distillery security say the fun ended when the suspects decided to help themselves to the goods. Three of the men, Gabriel Rinier (20), Justin Link (19), and Christopher Collins (20), allegedly forced entry, stole a bourbon bottle, and wrecked property as they ran.
Body camera footage, obtained by LEX18, shows the suspects “scattered like cockroaches” under flashing lights, bolting across buildings and leaping into bushes. Security and officers pursued them through rough terrain and in near-darkness.
