LEXINGTON, Ky. — The state’s senior meal program is facing drastic cuts starting Wednesday. Federal funds will run out, putting at-risk home-delivered meals to people aged 60 or older through senior centers across the Commonwealth.
Major cuts are coming to home-delivered senior meals in Lexington through the Bluegrass Agency on Aging and Independent Living has a loss of federal funds leaves them with a $600,000 gap in their budget.
