2 workers injured after hazmat call at Lexington prison

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Two workers were taken to the hospital on Monday after an incident that initiated a hazmat response at a Lexington prison.

Lexington Fire Department officials told FOX 56 that authorities were dispatched on Sept. 29 for unknown trouble at the Federal Medical Center on Leestown Road.

Once crews arrived, it was upgraded to a Hazmat condition call, according to LFD.
